We needed to upgrade our work vehicles, and as I searched around, these quirky EV’s keep popping up. They were difficult to resist, so we have taken the plunge and purchased two new EV vehicles for the Your Builder team.
To be honest, I was a little apprehensive about how my team would react to converting to these vehicles… but to my amazement, our team was so positive about this step. They understood the importance of reducing our carbon footprint and doing our part to preserve the environment. So here we are, taking the small steps to make our business greener by using these small EV’s to get from site to site.
On the job, ocassionally we need to charge our vans on site. How does this work? We simply ask our customers if we can plug into their home’s electicity supply and pay the rate required to charge the vehicle – which is currently just $3! We have already received such a positive response from our customers and they have been happy to “charge us up” via their home supply!
Our company goal is to be 100% Zero Emissions by 2019 We’ll keep you posted!
